What we do

More than a youth club

The youth club blends a reliable, welcoming base with activities young people actually asked for — somewhere to relax, have fun, and talk to an adult they trust.

Gaming

Xbox and PS5 stations — a relaxed way in for young people who might not join anything else at first.

Music

Space to listen, create and share — building confidence and self-expression through sound.

Sports

Active games that build teamwork, focus and a positive outlet for energy — the thing local young people most wanted.

Creative workshops

Arts, crafts and themed sessions on wellbeing and staying safe, run alongside the fun.

Safe conversations

Trusted adults who notice, listen and step in early — quietly there whenever a young person needs to talk.

Rooted on the estate

We grew up alongside these young people

We have run weekly youth provision on Limes Farm for over four years. In that time we have watched young people move from primary into secondary school — and now we welcome their younger brothers and sisters through the same doors.

  • Four years delivering weekly, term-time and school holidays
  • Supporting the same young people from primary into secondary
  • Now supporting many of their younger siblings too
  • A mentor working inside the estate's primary school
  • Local church volunteers supporting the team every week
  • Mentors who are known and trusted right across Limes Farm

Why it matters

A trusted place during the hours that matter

Local young people told the Essex Violence & Vulnerability Unit they wanted safe places to go, and more sport and youth clubs. The Unity Hub is our answer — a consistent, supervised space through the vulnerable hours between school finishing and parents getting home.

  • Create a safe, positive community space young people choose to be in
  • Build confidence, resilience and trusted relationships early
  • Reduce risk and anti-social behaviour before it takes hold

One trusted relationship can change the direction of a young person's life.

A separate service

The Unity Hub media van

Alongside the youth club, our media van is a separate mobile service that takes positive activities out across the estate. Fitted out for music, media and creative work, it meets young people where they already are — including those who would not yet step into a club.

  • A mobile base for music, media and creative sessions
  • Trained staff out in the community, closer to home
  • Reaching young people who don't attend the club
  • A relationship-led, detached approach that builds trust first

Part of Youth Unity

The Unity Hub is one part of a bigger picture

Youth Unity supports young people aged 8 to 24 across mentoring, sport, creative media and outreach — working from early help through to targeted intervention, before challenges escalate. The Limes Farm Unity Hub is where that mission lives on the estate.
