Youth Unity · Podcasts
At Youth Unity, podcasting is how we get young people talking — and how we build the confidence that comes with being heard. We hand over the mic to open up honest conversations on the things that shape people’s lives, recorded so no one feels they’re facing it alone.
How we use podcasting
For a lot of young people, the hardest part isn’t having something to say — it’s feeling confident enough to say it. We use podcasting to change that. By choosing the topics, leading the conversations and producing their own episodes, young people find their voice, build real confidence and pick up skills that last well beyond the studio. Commissioned by councils and public-health teams, our shows open honest conversations on the issues that matter — and from time to time we welcome high-profile guests to the mic too.
Participants choose the topics, lead the conversations and own their message — building belief in themselves along the way.
Relaxed, non-judgemental conversations on real issues — with signposting to support whenever it’s needed.
Interviewing, storytelling, teamwork and audio production — skills that travel far beyond the studio.
Behind the mic
From school sessions and our Unity Hub mobile studio to the questions young people bring to the table — real spaces, real people, real talk.
The shows
Honest, unfiltered conversations that bring a wide range of voices to the same table — young people, teachers, community leaders, professionals and the occasional high-profile guest. Real talk on confidence, wellbeing, opportunity and the issues that matter most.
