Helping to reduce anti-social behaviour
Unity Hub is part of a joined-up response to anti-social behaviour in Chattenden. By offering positive things to do during the after-school hours, when young people are most likely to be out and about, the sessions give them a safe alternative and a chance to build positive relationships with adults they can trust.
We're working closely with the Medway Community Safety Partnership and Kent Police. This joint working means youth workers, officers and partners share what they're hearing from the community, respond quickly to concerns, and make sure any young person who needs extra help is linked into the right support.
The sessions also give young people a voice. Their ideas and concerns help shape what we deliver, and what partners understand about life for young people in the area.
