This includes children, young people, vulnerable adults, and community participants of all ages.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3501\" data-end=\"3606\">We follow best practice safeguarding standards and the requirements set out in our partnership agreement.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"3608\" data-end=\"3611\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"3613\" data-end=\"3643\"><strong data-start=\"3616\" data-end=\"3643\">1. Commitment to Safety<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3644\" data-end=\"3756\">All project activities \u2014 workshops, filming, interviews, and events \u2014 are delivered in a way that prioritises:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3757\" data-end=\"3866\">\n<li data-start=\"3757\" data-end=\"3776\">\n<p data-start=\"3759\" data-end=\"3776\">Physical safety<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3777\" data-end=\"3800\">\n<p data-start=\"3779\" data-end=\"3800\">Emotional wellbeing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3801\" data-end=\"3829\">\n<p data-start=\"3803\" data-end=\"3829\">Trauma-informed practice<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3830\" data-end=\"3866\">\n<p data-start=\"3832\" data-end=\"3866\">Respectful, inclusive engagement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3868\" data-end=\"3978\">We ensure participation is voluntary and that no individual is pressured to share a story or appear on camera.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"3980\" data-end=\"3983\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"3985\" data-end=\"4005\"><strong data-start=\"3988\" data-end=\"4005\">2. DBS Checks<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4006\" data-end=\"4204\">All delivery partners (Youth Unity CIC, Write Back, Green Shoes Arts) ensure that staff and volunteers working with children or vulnerable adults hold <strong data-start=\"4157\" data-end=\"4179\">current DBS checks<\/strong>, as required by the SLA.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"4206\" data-end=\"4209\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"4211\" data-end=\"4243\"><strong data-start=\"4214\" data-end=\"4243\">3. Working with Under-18s<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4244\" data-end=\"4295\">When engaging with children and young people, we:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"4296\" data-end=\"4584\">\n<li data-start=\"4296\" data-end=\"4366\">\n<p data-start=\"4298\" data-end=\"4366\">work in partnership with schools, parents, carers, and youth teams<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4367\" data-end=\"4425\">\n<p data-start=\"4369\" data-end=\"4425\">provide age-appropriate explanations of all activities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4426\" data-end=\"4473\">\n<p data-start=\"4428\" data-end=\"4473\">obtain parental consent for anyone under 16<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4474\" data-end=\"4539\">\n<p data-start=\"4476\" data-end=\"4539\">ensure sessions are supervised and follow safeguarding ratios<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4540\" data-end=\"4584\">\n<p data-start=\"4542\" data-end=\"4584\">never interview or film young people alone<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"4586\" data-end=\"4589\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"4591\" data-end=\"4613\"><strong data-start=\"4594\" data-end=\"4613\">4. Use of Media<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4614\" data-end=\"4665\">Media of children\/young people is only used when:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"4666\" data-end=\"4823\">\n<li data-start=\"4666\" data-end=\"4695\">\n<p data-start=\"4668\" data-end=\"4695\">consent has been obtained<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4696\" data-end=\"4735\">\n<p data-start=\"4698\" data-end=\"4735\">the content is appropriate and safe<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4736\" data-end=\"4785\">\n<p data-start=\"4738\" data-end=\"4785\">the participant is comfortable being recorded<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4786\" data-end=\"4823\">\n<p data-start=\"4788\" data-end=\"4823\">anonymity is offered where needed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"4825\" data-end=\"4878\">No personal contact details are ever shared publicly.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"4880\" data-end=\"4883\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"4885\" data-end=\"4913\"><strong data-start=\"4888\" data-end=\"4913\">5. Reporting Concerns<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4914\" data-end=\"5015\">Any safeguarding concern will be responded to promptly and appropriately.<br data-start=\"4987\" data-end=\"4990\" \/>Concerns may relate to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"5016\" data-end=\"5146\">\n<li data-start=\"5016\" data-end=\"5043\">\n<p data-start=\"5018\" data-end=\"5043\">a participant\u2019s welfare<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5044\" data-end=\"5095\">\n<p data-start=\"5046\" data-end=\"5095\">disclosures made during workshops or interviews<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5096\" data-end=\"5146\">\n<p data-start=\"5098\" data-end=\"5146\">unsafe behaviour by staff, volunteers, or others<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"5148\" data-end=\"5265\">Concerns should be reported immediately to the project safeguarding lead at Youth Unity CIC.<br data-start=\"5240\" data-end=\"5243\" \/>???? admin<a class=\"decorated-link cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"5246\" data-end=\"5265\">@youthunity.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5267\" data-end=\"5337\">If someone is at immediate risk, emergency services will be contacted.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"5339\" data-end=\"5342\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"5344\" data-end=\"5366\"><strong data-start=\"5347\" data-end=\"5366\">6. Data Privacy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"5367\" data-end=\"5484\">All participant information is stored securely and handled in accordance with GDPR and local safeguarding procedures.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"5486\" data-end=\"5489\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"5491\" data-end=\"5519\"><strong data-start=\"5494\" data-end=\"5519\">7.
